Health and Wellbeing Drop in days

Community Event

26 November @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Event Series (See All)
FREE

Drop in Days are an opportunity to find support and information for your Health and Wellbeing under one roof.
You don’t know what you don’t know and sometimes it is is really difficult to know where to start or to understand who it is you need support from.
It is increasingly difficult to get an appointment at your GP practice and referrals can take a long time too.
Every month you have the opportunity to meet with services and organisations across the Health, Social and Charity sectors who offer support across all ages and needs. If you come along and meet an Occupational Therapist or somebody from the Citizens Advice team or from the Falls Service or the Sensory team – you might be able to get just the right kind of information to help you and find the right path to take.
One lady asked an Occupational Therapist (OT) about tips for getting her mum safely in and out of the car. In the space of five minutes the OT was able to guide through some ideas which the lady felt confident would work. This made the difference between getting out and about and not getting out and about. Another person told us that they had no idea a benefit they might be entitled to.
