ROMANTIC | BREATHTAKING | EFFERVESCENT
The evening opens with Hen Walia by Barry-born composer Grace Williams – a work full of Welsh character, inspired by folk melodies and centred around the touching lullaby Huna Blentyn. It’s a rare chance to hear this beautiful music live.
Globally acclaimed violinist Inmo Yang returns to perform Dvořák’s richly romantic Violin Concerto, a piece of music full of lyrical charm and emotional depth.
The concert closes with Dvořák’s best-loved symphony, No. 9 From the New World. Written during his time in America, it’s a thrilling mix of bold new influences and the soulful beauty of his Czech roots.
Don’t miss this powerful programme of heartfelt music and world-class performances. Whether you’re a classical music regular or curious to try something new, this is the perfect concert.
