About Mid Powys Youth Theatre

Powys is big, beautiful, remote and rural. Finding good quality creative stuff to do can be tricky.  MPYT offers young creatives of all abilities (from ages 10 to 29) from across the county different ways of exploring the world of performing arts.

MPYT is a place to meet friends, be curious, find your feet, take risks, connect with what you feel, ask questions and always – always – challenge ourselves to think in new ways and imagine our futures together.

Living in an isolated, rural place can be hard. Let’s face it, there isn’t a whole lot of stuff going on much of the time – especially for young people interested in exploring the world and where you might fit in it or go next. MPYT is a safe, fun and welcoming place to experiment and try some new things out. It’s a way of exploring creativity, performance and ideas and people – as part of a team of like-minded young souls with new and different interests, or just as yourself.
