About Knighton & District Concert Society

The Knighton and District Concert Society has been running for nearly seventy years and aims to bring classical music to the people of this small Welsh Market town who would otherwise have to travel to Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Hereford or other distant cultural centre. There are five main concerts in a season, which starts in October and runs through to March. We try to use young professionals where possible, which not only gives them an opportunity to perform, but showcases the marvellous up and coming talent we have in this country. The programme is varied, with solo vocalists, piano players, string and wind ensembles, percussion, and sometimes groups with more unusual instruments.

For more information, please contact Becky or Peter Sherman on 01547 530530 or email Becky

The Concerts are held in St Edwards Church Hall in Knighton on the fourth Sunday in the month at 3.00 pm unless advertised otherwise. Tickets are on sale at the door and cost £15.00 for adults (no concessions) with entry for students and children £2.00.
