y Gaer Benefit Evening

Y Gaer staged its first Benefit Evening on Wednesday 26 July, with an audience of thirty in attendance. Guests were treated to some entertaining poetry by Gareth Writer-Davies and Christopher Meredith and some sparkling music from Omega Two, the guitar, ukulele and vocal combination of Jane Williams and Pete Mathison. Sincerest thanks are offered to the performers for donating their time and talent in this way.

The evening also featured the winning poems and some commended entries in the competition organised by Digital Senior Library Assistant Tilly Boscott-Moses to mark the 75th anniversary of the NHS.

Proceeds from the evening will be used to expand and enhance y Gaer’s events programme, and it is hoped similar events may themselves become a regular feature of its cultural offering.
