With a focus on 𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤\, participants will be encouraged to explore this wonderfully malleable\, ancient material predominantly guided by tactile sensations. These methods help you get comfortable with the material before moving on to more advanced techniques like wheel throwing. Alex Allpress will demonstrate each step clearly\, and you will have plenty of time to practice. Expect to get your hands dirty as you learn to shape and mould the clay. It’s a tactile experience that requires patience and a willingness to experiment. You will learn about the properties of clay and how it behaves when wet and dry.
