DESCRIPTION:Stories in the Dust is a two hander\, playful\, comedic show about two travellers who are journeying across a barren landscape. The show unfolds from a contraption made of shopping trolleys that contain all the pair need – and\, of course\, they ride around in it! The show includes puppetry and live music as we follow them on their journey to find a place where food still grows and water flows – a place they’ve read about in an ancient book. We hear the story of a great lion who holds it’s secrets in an old clay pot. We witness the pair’s rituals; developed over years of being only with one another. The show is a happy and joyous story that celebrates friendship\, fresh food and hope\, even when all seems lost. It’s punchy\, bold and suitable for adults and children alike.

SUMMARY:Big MPYT – Youth Theatre for ages 14-24
DESCRIPTION:Sometimes in school there seems to be a pressure to hide who you are and fit in. MPYT is a safe place to come and be the big (or small) version (or versions) of your unique selves with people who will celebrate you for being just that. MPYT offers a supportive creative ‘home’ for you as you explore your adult self\, where you will be heard and treated as an equal and be able to ask life’s big questions. You will be encouraged to explore the edges of who you are and what you are capable of with supportive friends and the best theatre making people we can get a hold of. \nThis is the core youth theatre group; the Tuesday evening workshop and session that’s been running since 1987. \nFrom January to July 2025 we are inviting award winning billingual storyteller Tamar Williams to lead some sessions and also Bethan Dear who is a theatre maker who has worked in Wales and London for 20+ years and is brilliant! Our young leaders in training Alice\, Melody and Ben (sometimes all of them\, and sometimes others like Cai and Ellis) will also be assisting the sessions too\, they are ex-members themselves and are there to welcome and support you and get you settled in.\nA typical session will involve theatre games and exercises\, devising challenges; trust & focus games; and other stuff like physical theatre; mask-work; design; puppetry; circus; singing; stage-combat… ooh\, we could go on\, but you’ll have to come and see for yourself. \nFancy joining in? DESCRIPTION:This group is aimed at younger teenagers. Suitable for ages 10-13 year olds. \nMPYT is a space where imagination comes to life. It’s where friendships are born\, and unique individuals come together to create something magical.\nYou will have a chance to find your voice—learn what you think\, who you are\, and where you want to belong in the world. It’s a place to ask life’s big questions and figure out the answers together.
